Challenging Learning Goals/Core Concepts: What do students need to know or be able to do during the six weeks? 3.6C- Area of Rectangle using Multiplication 3.6D- Area using the additive property 3.7A-Fractions on a Number Line 3.7B-Perimeter when given a missing length 3.7E-Determine liquid volume or weight using tools 3.8A- Summarize a data set using frequency table, dot plot, pictograph, or bar graph 3.8B-Solve one & tow step problems using data from frequency table, dot plot, pictograph, or bar graph * Communicate Mathematical ideas, reasoning & their implications * Create & use representations to organize & record mathematical ideas * Display, explain, & justify Mathematical ideas & arguments using precise mathematical language in written or oral communication Week 1 (2/23-2/27) Two days implementing Geometry Category, determine Area of Rectangle using multiplication Wednesday Small Groups, Thur & Fri. RM City Week 2 (3/2-3/6) Two days (review Fractions on a Number Line) Perimeter when given a missing length Wednesday Small Groups, Thur & Fri. RM City Week 3 (3/9-3/13) Spring Break!! Week 4 (2/16-2/20) Two days Determine Perimeter when given a missing length Problems Wednesday Small Groups, Thur & Fri. RM City Week 5 (3/23-3/27) Two days Determine liquid volume or weight using tools Wednesday Centers , Thur & Fri. RM City Week 6 (3/30-4/3) Two days Solve one and two step problems using data from frequency table, dot plot, pictograph, or bar graph Wed. Center, Thur. & Fri. RM City Strategies/Activities: * Create Area and Perimeter Project * Using fraction manipulatives * Using Drawings of objects and dividing them equally * Using the science buckets for the measurement of liquid volume Resources: * Math manipulatives * Mini White Boards * Yellow and Red Array dots Evidence/Work Bloom’s document) * Students will display models of arrays and groups of to represent multiplication * Students will score 80% or higher on the common assessment administered at the end of the six weeks. The common assessment will come from the District Feeder Pattern * Using the student white boards students will display the correct multiplication answer Intervention(s): How will we respond when students experience initial difficulty so that we can improve upon current levels of learning? (Discuss tiered intervention) * Weekly Tutoring * Saturday Tutoring * Small Group Intervention Every Wednesday Week 7 (4/6-4/10) Two days Solve one and two step problems using data from frequency table, dot plot, pictograph, or bar graph Wed. Center, Thur. & Fri. RM City Week 8 (4/13-4/17) Review Week Administer 6 Weeks Common Assessment Differentiation: Use the Go Math material for Advanced * Prepare Differentiated material * Use STAAR Practice on RM City * Use Measuring Up question stems my (What level are your learning tasks?
